Disney Premier VISA Card

Disney and Chase have introduced a brand new Disney VISA card this morning, the Premier Disney VISA Card. This card is in addition to the current Disney VISA cards from Chase, and has an annual fee and some additional perks (plus unique card designs).

Disney Premier VISA Card Details

$49 annual fee
Earn 2% in reward dollars on card purchases at gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants and most Disney locations
Reward dollars can be used to purchase airline tickets
8 Unique card designs, though a few are very close to the existing designs
A $100 Disney Gift Card after first purchase

Disney/Chase has added a page to compare the two Disney VISA programs: Disney VISA Premier vs. Disney VISA Classic

Please not again this is a completely separate program from the existing Chase Disney VISAs. As this was announced just a few minutes ago, there is not any information about if Chase will be ending the existing program (very unlikely) or if they will be offering existing cardholders the opportunity to move over (very likely). More information to come.

Chase has introduced a new Toy Story card design for their Disney VISA. Cardmembers can change designs at any time, free of charge. The new Toy Story design will take your adventurous spirit to infinity and beyond!

Disney has started a new referral program where current Disney VISA card holders can refer their family and friends to apply for a Disney VISA. If your referral applies and is accepted for a new Disney credit card, you will receive $25 Disney reward dollars added to your account. While I am not sure I will start calling all my family and friends to see if they want to apply, it is worth the effort if you have someone ask you about your card.

New card designs

Chase, which recently purchased Bank One, is releasing new card designs in association with the 50th anniversary of Disneyland. Current cardmembers will be soon receiving the updated red card with Mickey Ears on it, similar to the current cards, but with Chase’s logo on it. Card holders can call 1-888-315-4225 to request one of the different designs. You have your choice betwee Bambi, Vintage Mickey, Mickey & Friends or the limited edition Happiest Celebration on Earth cards.
